Flat Motors

Soga S.p.A. company has manufactured a special series of flat motors particularly suitable for
application with circular saw (wood, tiles, marble cutting machines) where the reduced dimension of the height of the shaft offers better cutting depth to the blade.
These motors, whose types are MR48, MR50, MR58, MR65, MR71, MR80, are compact, perfectly aligned, highly reliable and easy to assembly.
All the models are available on request with brake, while the only MR65 series can be equipped alternatively with a lowering-speed brake that stops the blade within few seconds.
The mechanical construction is widely robust, with the shaft made by steel C40 and the selflubricating radial bearings designed to guaranty rigidity in sustaining the cutting tool and greatest reliability.
Besides, the whole range offers a characteristic curve without sagging that allows the motor to
sustain overloads slowing down but giving a larger torque.
- CONSTRUCTION:
The case is made by structural extruded aluminium; the rotor is cage-type die-cast aluminium; the shaft is made by steel C40; the radial ball-bearings are self-lubricating and with double shield.
All the motors in the front side are protected by systems that prevent the entry of water or dust.
In the three-phase version the terminal-box is made by stiffened polyamide or aluminium, while
in the single-phase version the motor is equipped with a multipurpose box made by heat-resistant material (or, if required, by aluminium) suitable to give place to the capacitor and eventual thermal protections or switches.
The fan is made by nylon, the fan-cover is made by heat-resistant material.
- BLADE HOLDING FLANGES:
They are made by aluminium and are given as equipment with tightening nut.
- NORMS:
The motors are in accordance with the norm CEI 2-3 Ediz III - 1988 n° 1110 - IEC 6000341 and
with what fixed by the main European norms.
- PROCTION:
Standard protection IP55 according to the recommendations IEC 60034-5.
- CONSTRUCTIVE SHAPE:
B3 and B8 with feet and front shield
- INSULATION:
Class F
- DIRECTION OF ROTATION:
The standard rotation is dextrorotatory.
- SPECIAL EXECUTIONS:
On request of the client, other special executions can be done.
